Our dormouse supporters help the Wildlife Trust to fund vital work to improve and expand the habitat of the dormouse and to carry out monitoring of dormouse activity in South and West Wales.

There are a number of dormouse nest boxes in our reserves and these are checked throughout the season to determine if the dormice are breeding successfully or if their boxes have been invaded by blue tits!

We also undertake monitoring of the condition of the dormouse habitat and available food resources to try and ensure the dormouse has the best possible chances of survival.
